OK ever since I got my new intake on my car I have low end power loss for sure.I was looking today and I dont think the secondaries are opening. The little tab that you can see lift up when the secondaries open is not doing a thing. On my freinds car when you rev it up you can see it move.On my car nothing happens at all.Any sugestions why?

mkae sure you have the vacuum lines hooked up to the little canister on the back of the intake. if they are, remove the canister and shake it, if it rattles it needs to be replaced.

The secondary diaphragm valves use vacuum to keep the secondary butterfly valves closed. You are lacking a vacuum supply to the valves. Check the entire vacuum path. Search on this subject because I have previously posted the route for the vacuum lines. Also make sure the electrical connector is attached to the solenoid valve.

Umm on the ATX i am not sure the secondaries will open with the car in park...the computer keeps it from revving past 4k for the TQ converter.

If you dont see the butteryfly valve by each set of snakes close when you START the car tehn you have a problem.

I dont rev mine sitting there in park so i am not 100% sure the secondaries will open on a stock car plus with my LPM my secondaries open at lower than the computer cut off in park.

well i have the ATX he was looking at (i pointed it out). you can see them start to open when it bounces off the 4k limiter.

not only that, but if you move mine manually with your hand, you can hear the secondaries valves open (when the car is off of course). when you move his- there is no mechanical sound at all. its like the tab isnt hooked the the valves themselves.

they're stuck open, and we odnt know why. we cjhecked all the vacuum lines and stuff taht we could, but it was 1am in a parking lot at the time. so we very well could have missed one or two.

When my secondaries were not opening due to a loose electrical connection to the seninoid that spatt clued me in on I suffered high end power loss not low end power loss.

Here is the description of the vacuum line routing for the secondary actuators.

"The routing of the secondary butterfly vacuum lines is from the center tap on the intake's rear plenum to the front (forward) tap of the black plastic accumulator tank. From the rear tap of the accumulator to the bottom tap of the solenoid. From the top tap on the solenoid to the "T" fitting under the idle air control valve. From the side post of the "T" to the rear bank secondary vacuum diaphragm valve and from the front post on the "T" to the front bank diaphragm valve."

KYSHO.........his are open at all times. This means a lack of low end power. If yours were stuck closed, then your low end power would be fine, but your top end power would suck.
