Can anyone help me obtain a schematic diagram of the ETAC head unit? I mean the internals; I already have an EVTM that shows the external connections to the unit.

If I can obtain such a diagram, I hope to convert another FORD ETAC head unit (intended for Crown Vic) to work in the SHO.

You know that there's any easier way to have a different EATC face in your SHO, right?

sorry there is no way to get the crown vic unit to work with the sho. been there done that. i think there is myself and maybe 3 others working on this, and none of us have found one that works. with a small rewire (move to wires) you can get a mark VIII unit to work (in therory, from the wiring diagram, do not have one myself but looking) sadly it appears the sho (Taurus/sable) was wired differently then most ford vehicles. shrug

OhioSHOdude,

It can be done. There's no need to re-wire anything. You even posted to the EATC thread here about other EATC's that can work in the SHO shrug . I was right there at the shop watching my freind do this swap. It's not hard at all. It's basically just a matter of moving all the electronics out of the SHO's unit into a Crown Vic's / Gran Marq's. If he responds here, he'll shed some light on the subject.

Assuming that the Grand Marquis and Crown Vic use the same EATC unit (they should, they're both the same damn friggin car!) this is what it would look like...

Yes, DJ SHO is correct. A friend has one of these in his SLO. I think I posted this before but nobody believed me :(.

Glad to see someone got a pic of one working!
