2015 limited non-show

Hey thanks for the add, i purchased my "15 limited no-show almost 2 months aho and love it only thing i want to change is add an aftermarket amp and my subs, ive researched every where and cant find anything to help me figure out where i can tap into the speaker wiring, or if i can just purchase a new wiring harness that connects to old harness and connects to my stock head but adds RCA cables. Ive read on here that there is a rear amp or stereo in the trunk?? Wondering if thats correct or not, i know i only have my 4 door speakers the center speaker and 2 tweeters in the front. No rear trunk speakers because i would of just tapped into them. Does the rear door speaker wiring go back behind seats and have a plug n play? I thought i found one but didnt know fersure and cant find a wiring diagram anywhere! Please if anyone can help me it would be very much appreciated!!! Thankyou

Most of the taurus setups that I am aware of have the dash unit controller and seperate amplifier in trunk. You should verify what the stereo options were for your car so you can find correct wiring diagrams and harness adapters if you need them.

Thats what ive been hearing but i found out on mine i got the 6 speaker premium stereo sync 2, dont think it has the stock amp. If it does its not in the trunk. Sadly im thinking im gonna have to take off one of the rear door and use a quick tap and splice into the speaker wire n just hook up a LOC sounds like thats the only option unless i switch out the whole stereo system n not trying to do that yet. I just have a 6000w sony xplode amp and 2 12s in a box that fits my trunk. Figure those would b perfect for now.

Ive seen that there might be wire harnesses plug n play the are in the rear of my limited but i dont know the color codes for the wiring and i keep looking everywhere, if anyone can help with that plz do!

Do you have the sony or non sony system? Sony has an amp attached to the seatback in the trunk probably civered by a cover in plastic or trunk carpet material. I'm not sure if the non sony one does. I'm thinking not. Crutchfield will have some diagrams and pics with car make/model and stereo choice drop down

Do you have the sony or non sony system? Sony has an amp attached to the seatback in the trunk probably civered by a cover in plastic or trunk carpet material. I'm not sure if the non sony one does. I'm thinking not. Crutchfield will have some diagrams and pics with car make/model and stereo choice drop down

I dont have the sony mine is the sync 2, 6 speaker premium stereo. And yeah i looked into Crutchfield earlier and talked to one of there customer service ppl and they didnt have a wire diagram fkr my specific car, seems like its impossible to get lately. But yeah i would have to replace whole stereo system if i were to buy anything from them, and not trying to do all that quit yet. I have a great amp and 2 12s i just want to add and keep everything else, well except ill prolly also put new door speakers in as well soon. So my only option is to add a LOC. Im just trying to see if i can do that without taking door panel off nor the dash. I found a couple plug n play wiring harnesses rear driver side behind the seat leather on the side tho, wondering if thats from the head unit or speakers? Iokr if thrtrm

If I recall there are a couple RCA jacks back of the Sony system. With luck the sync system has the jacks on the back as well. Let me have a look at the spare head unit I have. when I get home from the hospital. You can get our see a jack Splitters and you could run that back 2 another amp to power two more speakers. You wouldn't have any fader adjustments available but it might work.

Does someone have the electrical manual for the Taurus? I know where to find old ones but not the newer car ones. that should have schematics for every iteration of stereo config.
