I am parting- in spring- my rusted 93 ATX but want to save the engine and management for a RWD project. What is the easiest way to pull this? Out the top or drop the subframe/pull tranny or as an engine/tranny unit?

thanks

do you need the car as a roller or not ?? if you need it as a roller then out the top if not drop the whole subframe, lift the body over it IRC the knuckles are good on that car for the 96 upgrade

drop the engine / trans/ subframe / suspension / wiring out the bottom of the car as one unit.
do all the work on stands, then before you pull the subframe bolts get some tire dollies and lay the car right down on them. pull your subframe bolts and use an engine hoist to pick the chassis back up till you can wheel the subframe assembly out.
