I have a 93 MTX and it will sometimes run warm (getting up above the "N") when I am driving. If I have the a/c on it stays right around the "A/L", within a minute of turning off the a/c it starts working its way up. Turn the a/c back on and it drops right back down within about 30 seconds. The fans are working when the a/c is on. Could it be the Engine Temperature Sensor not letting the fans come on without the a/c? I just don't understand how it could rise that quickly. This just stared a few months ago, prior to that the car always stayed at the "A/L" and would be below the L with the a/c on.
I am wanting to sell the car but I don't want to pass on a problem to someone else, so I would like to fix it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your SHO knows you are thinking of selling it, it's fighting back. Happens all the time.

Sounds like it could be the temp sensor. IIRC, you could be running in the rich mode because of that too, not good for cats. Suggest you do an advanced search on fans or temp sensor. You would be amazed at how many times these things come up.

BTY, welcome to the forum! :thumb: Also, since you are in MO, think about attending the convention in Indy, you might decide the SHO could be more fun than you realized!

Thanks

I just ran the eec test, and the fan did turn on at the start of the test, but it only ran at one speed.

I've had alot of fun with this car, but I miss my mustangs. I've had the car for 4 years and have only put about 16,000 miles on it. I'm just tired of looking for parts that aren't made anymore, and that cost a fortune for a car that I would be lucky to get $2500 for.
