rpm gauge making noises, not working

90 mtx. Noticed that the rpm gauge isnt working and is making a buzzing sound. Is this a mechanical gause or can I just pull it off and replace with a new gauge? If so where can I find one?

The tach is electrical, so if there is a mechanical problem you can just pull it out and replace it.

Ok great, so what year/makes fit in here? Ive been looking on ebay, but I havent found anything.

89-91 SHO at least. No idea if other models fit in there, though I would assume that Ford reused the part. Other Ford folks here may have some better input.
