Open the glove box, push the tabs in on the side, and let the door swing down. You should be able to look in the opening, towards the top and see whether or not there is a chip plugged into the back of the computer.

Do not rev it past 4K in PARK even it it lets you.

If you do, your torque converter won't last very long.

Vrooooom! My car is faster than yours standing still! :nut:

I've never understood the fascination people having with revving a car in park or neutral...

Using common sense, the neutral rev limit is 2500 rpm or less.

The factory rev limiter for the '94-'95 ATX is 4000 RPMs in park/neutral and 7000 RPMs in drive. ;)

well its doing 7000 in park dont now why
If your engine is truly spinning to 7000 RPMs in park or neutral, then you either a) have an aftermarket chip connected to your computer (most likely), or b) have something amiss with your setup somewhere.

Keep your foot off the peddle in park.

If it's not chipped and it's revving to 7k in Park and Neutral, you may have a bad MLP sensor, aka Neutral Safety Switch.
