As Eric and Hamal have both noted, a malfunctioning MLP (or Transmission Range) sensor can cause the symptoms that you have described and will usually set a 634 (TR sensor out of range) or 654 (TR sensor not in park) DTC. The sensor itself is located on the driver's-side of the tranny where the shift linkage connects to the top of the bellhousing.kickeralpine said:where is the mlp at on top of trans and i do have another 94 atx complete im using for parts tranny died .
Unfortunately, engine rev limiter programming can differ on cars of the same vintage or model line. Case in point would be the '93 H3Zx and '94-'95 D4U1 ATX calibrations, where the '93 H3Zx sees a slightly different limiter than the newer '94-'95 D4U1.Saleen SHO said:ive noticed on newer 96' up vehicles... some can rev to the actual engine limiter... for instance, my 96' bronco did it.. a buddies 01-02 chevy 1500 does it.... just to name a couple...
is this problem mainly sho specific? i mean i know other vehicles do it too but...![]()
