My old LuK clutch had a LuK disc with more springs in it than the OEM Valeo disc.
Beware when buying any "performance" pressure plate. You are buying a plate that potentially has modified lever points [like a Clutch Masters Stg 1] and will cause problems with clutch slippage and rough shifting due to premature pressure plate damage. The modified lever point will put more stress on the stock diaphragm and will bend it, no longer allowing sufficient clamp force to keep the clutch disc from slipping and keeps the pressure plate from completely disengaging [rough/grinding shifting]. You do not need these modified pressure plates unless you have no clue how to shift properly. A Clutch Masters Stg 1 kit and anything like it, is nothing other than a stock kit with a modified plate retaining organic disc material like all other stock clutch kits. If you are hurting for money, you will hurt for more buying one of these kits thinking it will save you money and it fails. Search the forums or go look in my thread about the $500 deal of a LuK kit installed, I have a couple of links in there.
