The plates are differnt from one pic to another..Not to mention the rims went from basketweaves to slicers...Dates on the pictures are differnet...

Im probably wrong...But things dont add up to me.

Especially because any Meguiars products make my green paint look like garbage...You can see a swirling effect...Goes dark to light green.. Im unimpressed by thier garbage, If your truly ******** about your paint....Check http://specialtymotoring.com/index.html

I love Clearkote brand...Its simply amazing

I am a professional detailer with 12 years of experience and currently own my own business for the past 5 years detailing.

Meguires makes a great product, but you need to know which product to use and how to use it. Hand polishing is so old school and the results arn;t anywhere near the results with the proper equipement and chemicals.

That sho above looks great for a "********" ( lol, SOUNDS BAD! ) congrats!!

The shine and depth woudl even be deeper with a machine polish, glaze and sealant with wax applied over the top. A profesional like myself can do a severely sun damaged and scratched car in 2-3 hours..

I agree.
My friend is bringing his orbital buffer tomorrow to do the top surfaces.
I need to get a buffer and to learn the tecnique.
I also have been detailing cars for well over 20 years and need to shorten my labor hours.

Well you did a darn good job by hand thats for sure! If you are just starting out with a buffer, I would recommend staying away from the high speed polishers liek I use. In the wrong hands that are dangerous. I would get a Porter Cable dual action buffer. They have smaller pads, slower speeds and the results can be as good as a high speed. Same price too..

if you would read the thread, he would explain that the first pic is from before he bought the car, and slicers aren't that hard to come by. If you notice, the slicers are directionals with 93-95 raised letter caps, meaning they weren't on the car to begin with.

I believe it is real...good job!

A monthly application of yellow wax would be ideal.
But it should hold out for 3 to 6 months.
At that point it should have an application of hand polish and yellow wax.
And it will not take so much time to do and it will be far easier.

looks like a new car! Now the only question is will it last, or do you have to do that monthly?

Here are two photos of my first SHO.
These are from 2001.
I remember the disbelief I had at how nice it had turned out.
I had to show everybody.
This should make a believer out of most.

well for doing it for so long your doing something wrong. i swear by the meguires 3 step. it makes my green amazing. also i for one rather do it by hand ive had 3 shops do it with theyre buffers and it comes nowhere near my hand buffing. id rather take the extra time for the extra shine.

Go buy yourself the sears 9-10 inch orbital buffer $40 bucks

It will not spin fast enough to burn your paint and is easy to use

Buy 9-10 terry bonnets

one pad to apply wax or whatever product your using

one pad to remove

Works perfect everytime especially for the people that hand buff the cars.
