Hey guys, I did a search on this but didn't come up with anything but removing the crank pulley and crank cancer. So does anyones know how the crank comes out? I have to take it out to get my block honed for the new rings. Any help is appreciated:thumb:

Edit: How about thrust bearings, what exactly are they and should I replace them when i remove the crank. Also what does checking for the endplay of the crank mean or is this only on the v8 as rcm only has them for the v8?

1) You must remove the pan, pump pickup tube, splash tray, girdle, main caps, rod caps, the oil pump, and the rear carrier plate. Push the pistons / connecting rods up manually away from the crank.

2) Thrust bearings are discontinued, to my knowledge. Clevite main bearing kits used to have them, but from memory they stopped shipping with the mains about 2 years ago (after a factory fire??).

3) Endplay is important, but without new thrusts (if truly NLA), you're looking at custom-making some, or trying to reuse what you have.

Good luck.
