Since these power seats almost gave me a hernia taking them out, is there a lighter option? And no, I don't have an interior, so they can be racy looking and don't have to match anything. I would prefer ones that allow a 4 point harness to be used. Thanks

Corbeau seats and brackets. They mount right into the stock location. Allow you to remove a lot of extra weight. And 4-point harness are available.

Thanks a lot Adam. No, I don't want light-weight racing seats just because I'm weak and yes I just realized that I should've posted this in the interior section...

I was refering to extra weight the power seat adds. I dont know how much but im sure it removes some. It would help you since your planing on tracking your car.

Oh I wasn't talking about what you said. I just reread my first post and it sounded like I wanted racing seats just so it wouldn't be as hard to pick them up.

I like some of those Corbeau seats, but they are all at least $200 a piece without the brackets. If I can't find anything cheaper, these are going to have to wait for awhile.

I think its funny, Dave's racing seat is still power, just relocated the controls. You need to decide what kind of seat you want. Something with a fixed back is going to give you more support, but be less comfortable. And FWIW, I would go with a 5 point harness, the anti-submarine belt make you feel a little safer.

If you want a real racing seat, stick with either something with a fiberglass frame, or aluminum plate like a Kirkey seat. Some Sparco and Corbeau seats have a steel tube construction that is not very comfortable for long drives, and is not FIA legal any more.

Yes and I could deal with a seat that isn't quite as comfortable. It looks like I'm going with Corbeau.

There are a million good seats out. You just have to decide how much time you want to spend installing one. Maybe the Corbeau bracket fits other seats?

IAny one know what the front seats weight for gen 1-2-3?

Gen 1 and 2 power seats weigh a tad more than 60lbs each.

I think the frames are filled with lead :nut:

I dont know about the Gen 3.

Those Hunsaker seats should work with the corbeau seat brackets. Why not try some of the Euro styled seats from Summit racing for $189 each. Get the Corbeau brackets and call it a day.
