question about stop leaking oil

Yesterday i go over at my car shop and buy a bottle of tranmisson oil leaking bottle that it said to "give more flexibility to the seal to stop oil leak".

so i go over the méchanic and ask if it's good since a automatic tranny work with oil pressure, since it give more flexibility to the seal can it be possible that it leak more then before?

so he tell me that this product just "expend" the seal so that it close the leak.

i just want to ask here if you think this kind of product is good?

i have nothing to lose for 6 $....but i don't want to make my problem worst then befor

I would be leery of a quick fix for a tranny. I have never touched an auto tranny, but that would just make me nervous I suppose. Do you know where your leaking at? If its at the half shaft , then its not very difficult to replace the seal.

it's leaking from between the tranny and motor, so it is surely the shaft between motor and tranny, so i have o take out the tranny

i'm trying to think some little thing before going out for te big job

(because i'm in appartement and mechanic is not suposse to be done in the parking)
