92 dash IS a 2nd gen dash.....you may just have one without the passenger airbag. I'd just leave it alone unless you're doing a color change.

The 92 dash is a Gen 2 dash, same as the 93-95 dash.

Contrary to what some say, the 92 is 95% Gen 2 and only 5% Gen 1.

really the only thing that's Gen 1 on a 92 is the center console and the steering wheel.....along with lack of spoiler, which I find TOTALLY sexy...:naughty:

Yes, the passenger airbag was optional in 92 and 93, standard starting in 94. I have a 92 with it and i have 3 more without it. So does anyone know if there are any other differences in the dash? i just put door panels from a 92 into my 95 and the drivers side sits almost an inch higher than the dashboard., i guess its possible the dash is saggin.

The passenger airbag was standard on '93 SHOs, it became standard on regular taurus in '94.

I put a '92 dash in my '93, the only difference would be the bezel as the '92s had a different clock.

this is why i love my 92, the gen 1 wheel looks better than the gen 2 (no offence)

and the center console is much nicer.

No spolier too.

:salute:

yes the clock is the only difference in the gauge bezel (the mold is different. they are NOT interchangable). the '93 has a 2 button, 5 wire clock whereas the '92 has 3 buttons and just 3 wires... i had the wiring kinda figured out, but had to put it back together without...so i still dont know.

No sir, passenger airbag was not standard in 93.

as i said before, the pass airbag was standared on ALL models in 94, optional in 92 and 93.

Quinn, i doubt everything was changed too green. the second gen color is a bluish turquoise color and can be confused for green. how would they change the clock to green? a gen I clock is not interchangable with the second gen dash. the clock was specific to 92.

because, the 92 has a the clock the same as a 91, and so on with most of the other lit up parts, it is green...the guy i bought the car from was a SHO speacalist with about two more shows.
