Glad that is all it was! I dont think checking it cold and engine off vs hot and engine running makes THAT much of a difference. Could be a myriad of reasons, but it is time to enjoy!!!

You guys were right the dang thing was bone dry, it took 3.5 quarts running like a champ guys thanks for the advice, the mechanic said he filled it that's why I didn't think that's what it would be... Much appreciated!!!

You can check me on this, but on my 13 the PTU capacity is listed by Ford as 18oz. 3.5qts sounds like a bit much.

It’s .56 quarts. So you need 1 quart

That's a crazy small amount of lubricant for a gearset that is always spinning. Harley's take more than that. Ouch

3.5 quarts to top off the TRANSMISSION fluid I believe, not the PTU fluid.

Sounds about right (for PTU). I've "refreshed" mine twice and still some (4-6 oz) left in the qt. bottle of Royal Purple.
Obviously, not all the old was removed each time. Mine has no drain plug.

No drain plugs on 2010-12. That 2013+ got it was likely a happy coincidence with the introduction of the Interceptors.

There is a flush mechanism tool Ford has to remove all of the oil that is shown in their instruction manual .

No the 2016 definitely doesn't have a plug on the non pp, still have to suck it out
