Can't you just click the box that keeps you logged in? I have this site bookmarked on my home screen. It makes it almost like a standalone app.
Exactly what I do, and have full features just like I do on a computer.

Galaxy S8 and I also use the built in chrome browser and only had to put password in the very first time.

Seems like the only thing missing when using phone is that I can't see peoples' signatures. I am able to see this poll on the phone.

I just discovered that there's a huge transmission remanufacturing chain based out of Omaha (right up the road from me), and they also work on Transfer Cases. They even list the SHO separate from the Taurus on their website. I've reached out to them to see what they have to say regarding our PTU's. Hopefully, I can get them to install the drain plug too.

Where's my option to vote for this on the poll?

Well....the drilling part was easy. My best guess is that I used too much pressure and went in too far, when tapping. WHICH made it so the drain plug I bought would just slipe and out, past the threads. No bueno.

So after panicking and having some of the members here talk me off the ledge, I ended up moving up to the next size. WHILE employing some new tactics of;
  • less pressure
    • - you need a little pressure when starting (enough to hold the tap in the hole so it doesn't come and mess up any threads it's made)
    • Once you have a couple threads going, the tap will basically pull itself in, as you turn it in.
  • only tapping as far as I need to (which is about 8 to 10 threads
  • And of course the basics of 1/2 to 1 turn in, and 1/4 turn out (to clear the threads)
Seriously, even with my visions of epic failure, it ended up not being that bad. AND I've now got a drain plug in my PTU.

Next up! RDU! ...get ready to talk me off the ledge again everyone!

So I'm reading that people are happy with 2 things;

  1. lifetime fluid. This is a self-fullfilling prophesy.
    1. If the PDU lasts 100k miles, it lasted for the life of the PDU.
    2. If the PDU lasts 20k miles, it lasted for the life of the PDU.
  2. drawing out the old fluid.
    1. I bought mine at 15,963 miles.
    2. I first sucked the fluid out at about 21,000 miles.
      1. I only pulled about 1/2 quart, and was able to push in over 1 quart. (this equals NOT full from Ford).
      2. The magnetic fill plug had LOTS of crap on it, in addition to the fluid being gritty and very dirty. NOT to mention I couldn't manage to finagle the line past the gears, so I KNEW I was NOT at the bottom of the PDU case.
    3. I did it again at about 25,000 miles, with the same results as item 2 above.
When I first drilled the hole, I could see all of the crap come out. At that point, I knew a drain plug in the PDU was the right thing to do. WHICH is why I'll be adding one to the RDU.

So forgot to show this yesterday, but here's my PTU bottom tap. Same fitting as my RDU. I'll be doing the heat shrink thing on this one as well (double protection keeping cap from spinning off).

This is the PTU that's still on the car, not to be confused with the PTU I'm modifying on the bench, but that one has the same fitting.

Btw, I was only able to get out 12 ounces. That means 6 went missing. It's been leaking for awhile now though from the half shaft seal and some out the vent. I know this PTU might be on borrowed time, but luckily I have another one on the bench when this one decides to give up the ghost.
