"Does the computer come out through the glove box or engine bay?"

Once the screw is loose pull it out through the glovebox.

Alright, I put the bracket back on and problem solved. Starts right up every time and runs fine. Gots lots o Power... :D thumb

Now...I have a problem w/reverse. I have to slip the clutch a lot to get it to move with out the drivetrain going crazy! Does that mean the clutch isn't lined up right for reverse or something, or is it reverse it self that is screwed? If I start it in reverse(set up so I don't have to have clutch in to start) there is no problem, it is when I let the clutch out and thats when the engine goes crazy! Not motor mounts, I can gaurentee that. When the clutch is out and I goose the throttle, engine does not move. It rocks back and forth like crazy when I let the clutch out. Forward gears do not have this problem, only reverse. Any ideas for this. ITs not a big deal for me not to use reverse for a while, but I would eventually like to have it fixed. I'm just glad I got it up and running again. Starts up every try now and like I said, CEL works and I can pull codes. "Ohh happy day" and I could never have done it w/o you guys. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me. You guys rock. And I'm more SHO fluent than I was before. I learned something eles as well...DON'T BE SCARED! The car will not bite...

89 is still running better than ever! 92 is almost there...92 looks and sounds one **** of a lot better. Any help with the reverse issue is always appreciated

BTW- Code 511 is gone

TTT See previous post for new problem. Thanks

I just got an E-Mail from Brian aka BAMSHO(previous owner) and he said that he had the same problem. That leads me to believe that its not the clutch. Would derlin SFBs do this? I know the bolts are tight. He said he didn't have the problem with the stock ones. What could it be?

Maybe your front motor mount was bad b4, and the guy changed the front one but not the back one. I knwo when i did my front motor mount i had to do the back one at the same time.

I'm pretty sure the motor mounts are fine...it only does it when I let the clutch out in reverse. Once I get the clutch all the way out, its fine. I just don't wanna dump the clutch in reverse everytime I back up, know what I mean.

I remembered some more stuff today. The problem seemed to happen after I got it home, I parked it with e-brake on, the I backed up w/e-brake on(later that night, forgot) and thats when it started happening. Could the e-brake be stuck on? There is no brake light, and I know the light works...SFBS? I noticed that the passenger side SFB didn't lock into place like the rest of them did when Adam and I put it back on. I put it in place and torqed it down. What could it be? I can almost promise you it is not the mount...but I could be wrong. When I have the clutch out and goose the throttle, the engine doesn't jump. Hmmmm....

Joe, if you have a Bad REAR motor mount, I would assume you would have the same problems you are describing.

A bad Front mount will give you movement when going in Forward motion. When in reverse, you are putting strain on the rear mount.

Just my $.02
