problem when letting off the throttle

i'm having a problem and hopefully someone can help me,car runs very good through the rpms,but whenever you let off the gas it just kinda chugs or as my friend said "gurggles" back down to around 1100rpm and then will fall down to 500 almost wanting to die any suggestions on what to check?

I had an issue that sounds kinda like yours. When I would come to a stop, the motor would fall to a low idle, catch at around 500 RPM, bounce to 1500, and settle around 800 or so, where it should be. Then it started to stall when I came to a stop. I fixed her, by removing the Idle Air Control Valve and cleaning it out. Worked for me, hope it helps you.

You also may want to check for codes. I did not have any, but checked none the less.

Mine was doing that and they replaced that sensor and it continued. I had Kirk Doucette do my cams this past week and he also did the coil pack. Runs like new now. I finally have a SHO mechanic after all these years of hacks!
