It is awesome that you guys make progress so fast. Keep it up!

If you guys ever do decide to turbo a ATX car I am more that willing to take tons of pictures for you guys so you can maybe learn what works and what doesn't so you don't have the same mistakes I have made. Or maybe just for brainstorming... whatever the case if you ever need pics let me know.

I do see one problem though. There is a serous lack of.... video in this thread.

is there a quaife in this car?...

just curious

nope they get their pins welded... i can understand their stand points on it since it is a expensive mod after all.. not tracking their cars just simply out to enjoy them..

i have to give them credit tho with the price tag they got for turboing the cars they do a good job.

even tho im still lost on only using the tweecer for timing :p

Looks great guys. To anyone with concerns about the sharp bend, stop stressing. The absolute best gain you can get in a NA car from going to a quality hiflow Y from the stock one is about 10-12whp. What people fail to realize is that most of that HP is coming from the less restrictive catalytic converters. The larger mandrel bent pipes do add some as well, but they are not the whole picture. On a turbocharged setup, even if an overly restrictive pipe costs you 20+whp, that is easliy made up for with a small bump in boost. Having a smooth and non restrictive flow is much more an issue with a downpipe than with an uppipe. Even the pipes I had made have a less than ideal looking sharp bend in them. There is simply not enough room to work with in that very cramped area. The biggest area where the sharp bend might come into play would be in the spool time for a large frame turbo. But with the HP requirements of this car, along with the turbo choice, it simply will not have any ill effect, as evidenced by their previous dyno sheets.

Keep us updated. Looking forward to more pics.

I would have to agree, I changed out the manifold I made for a header, didn't feel any noticable difference, although I do feel happy with the header.
