GLSS is about fun cars in general, even if they're not SHO's. Here's a Tempo that would leave you saying WTF!

Then the rock stars showed up...

That's right, the Mazda SHO-2-6 :thumb:

I took quite a few vids, here's just a couple, and proof that the MAZDA exists and runs, complete with four wheel steering!

Setting up for the big group pics. I think we made it much harder than it needed to be LOL

It was an amazing meet for Labor Day, with incredible people, good food and just flat out good times. I can't thank EVERYONE enough for making it such a great success, and I certainly cannot thank Tim and Mandy for allowing all us to invade their home for a few hours. I think these pics and vids show everyone far and wide that the Great Lakes is THE place to be for the SHO enthusiasts :thumb:

Send me your pics AND VIDEOS to : [email protected] so I can get started on the big Labor Day 06 video :thumb:

And for the record, I was fine on the ladder with three out of four legs holding. When the SECOND leg broke I didn't care how many people were holding it :bonk: I've talked with a chap some of you may know... goes by the name of Darwin. Already bumped heads with him several times, don't need to meet him again

I went ahead and merged the two pic threads in preparation for my own deluge of pics and vids

Wouldn't be a SHO meet if we didn't have a parking lot repair en-route. Here's SHOpower17 installing a new tail light while we were waiting for the late arrivals in Ann Arbor:

LOL I'm prolly the only one who fix there SHO on there way to the meet. :laugh_ti:

Thanks everyone for a great time. I have been looking forward to making an event for about the last.... oh, three years or so. Of all the clubs and communities I have been part of, I must say this has been one of the best experiences yet. I had an absolute blast with you all. Thanks everyone, I am looking forward to meeting again.
PS- If anyone needs hosting space for pics let me know.

What?!?!

Hey- it takes a more secure man to pose that pic than it does to wear pink... Especially with the internet looming about... :naughty:

well after everyone left us me and nick and rich (tempo ) and bruce(2 gen green) all started playing around on the highway well rich and eric went then we went on the way back and bruce started pulling away from me really bad ! well i figured out why when i started slowing down, the motor was messed up bad! we ended up driving it back to nicks house and when we turned the orner it started pouring out smoke ( i dont think i have seen that much smoke come out of an exhaust!) ya i want a rematch lol j/k ! i just hope it isnt messed up to bad ! (strange thing it wasnt knocking!)
Ya I felt pretty bad when I found out what happened to the 626, considering it probably wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been racing me. So I am sorry about that. I was really shocked when richard told me you were shifting before the powerband because I wasnt pulling that ******* you. If you were giving it everything then it would have been a diff story. Hope you guys can get it fixed soon. tell Richard to get ahold of me if you guys need some help with it, but im sure you got it under control. Other than than I had alot of fun and the cruise later was great stuff. thank you Tim and mandy for everything.

And if you look REAL close on the right hand side of the pic, you'll see where the previous owner of this particular gen III SHO took an hour and a half of his/her day to drill assorted holes in the airbox. One of the weirdest sounds I think I've ever heard.

Yea, Great meet everyone, I am glad I showed up for it... and thanks to mandy (cause tim doesn't deserve it, lol), and SHOBILL for the Valve and cam tools. Later then night was fun too....

And we found out what happened to the 626 SHO....he blew a piston and one of the rod bearings were non-exsistent. He got some pics...So hopefully they will be posted up since it did kinda happen at the meet.

Nice pics! Felt like I was there. My g/f would have been upset if I left here alone on the Sat. of Laboe Day w/e even though she said it would be fine. You know women. I did get a ride in a new Charger R/T Sat. That thing still really hauls with 4 people! I wouldn't want to polute the pics with a non SHO either. Actually it might have helped. I got my car fix Monday though. I was busy at Grattan.
