I was browsing my local salvage yard today and ran across a 2015 taurus SEL with a clean dent & ding free rear decklid. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snag it. I unplugged all of the wiring around the backside. Unbolted it and brought it home to clean it up. I discovered some corrosion on the inside lip of it at the bottom.
Why do all of these seem to rust here?? Very odd place to rust. I sanded it down as best as I could ill hit it with some automotive primer & I'll have to get a spray can of my cars paint to finish it up. Im gonna swap it over and swap the SHO/Ecoboost badge over. I will have updated pics soon!
