Gen 1

So, have you gotten a shot of the SHO logo for Gen 1 cars? It's the same as the outlined letters on the intake.

I'd be interested in a tag for the old girl.

The only ones I have is for Gen 4 and the solid Gen 2, what I've posted already.

Those look very cool. Just don't tell F@!# that you are using their trade dress to make money. They'll send the hatchet man after you.

Here's a Gen 2 ID tag using the solid logo. Obviously the correct motor will be on the tag, I just didn't bother to change that part.

That looks pretty awesome! Would we be able to remove the "Owner" part and have something else? I dont think i want my name on it. When i sell the car, i doubt the next owner wants it on there either lol

I'm pretty sure you can print anything you want there.

I just heard back from Gary about those Gen IV logos I sent him. I also send him the tag that I post with those logos. He said they are not usable, not clear enough. He said he is looking for a font to make them with. For me, that is not acceptable. I want the TAURUS SHO authentic, not a font that is somewhat similar. At this point, I don't know where Gary is coming from. I got a friend that is a graphics artist and I emailed him to see if he knows a print shop that will make them. I'll also see if I can contact Ford to see if they have a problem with trademark infringement. Sorry guys, but that's where things stand right now.

Subscribe. I would likely be interested in one of these when/if it comes to fruition. Thanks for doing all the research and legwork.

p.s. I suppose I need to get the car first, then the tag....working on it. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence Super Dave! I heard back from my buddy that's the graphic artist. He agreed that the logos I made aren't really good enough to make the ID tags. Shows you what I know! He made up his own rendition using Arial Black font. Let me know if you guys think this is acceptable. I'm waiting to hear back from another friend that works with Team Mustang in Dearborn. I asked him for a contact to see if there's any trademark issues and I'll also ask if they have print quality copies of TAURUS and SHO they can give me. Typhoon5000, you know of a place at Ford I could call?

I have the date on this printed with month day, year format instead of mm/dd/yyyy. I think it looks better.

Here's where we are now. Gary sent me his latest version, the top one below. A buddy of mine did the second one. Which one do you guys like better? The metal backing will be like the top one. Make your decision only on the style of the font. I emailed this guy in marketing at Ford, but he was out of the office and will return tomorrow. If they don't have a problem with using making these, I'm going to ask him for copies of logos, but I'm not counting on it. The bottom one uses the exact font on the trunk badges, BUT they are not usable. I only posted it so you can compare it with the above two. So, I'm looking for input from you guys on which direction to take.

Once everything gets settled, how long would it take for this to happen? I gave my 90 to my son, and was thinking of this as a little present; there is Christmas (soon) and birthday - July, and next Christmas, which one would be possible?
