I got these tags for my mach 1. There's one for the engine bay and one for the interior console. I haven't looked at the interior of the SHO where it would look good to put this. They are $22.50 each or $42 for both. The engine bay is 1-3/4" x 4-1/2" and the interior one is 1-1/4" x 3-1/2". I emailed the guy that makes these to see if he would be interested in making them for the SHO and if so, how many orders he would need to make it feasible. It is pretty much bling, but in case anyone is interested, let me know.

Hey Mike,
Add me to the list. I was looking at getting an engraved one done like I have on my Lightning, but these look good too. ****

Those are neat, I'd be interested, if he can make the "SHO" writing in generation specific font style (I have a 92).

very interested in some of them for myself. Baised off your supplied measurements, it's sounds like it's almost the exact size as the "SHO" badge on the gen 3 plastic covers... I agree that gen specific fonts would be nice, however I can deal with a slightly incorrect font. Please inform if this goes beyond the "bench racing" stage.

I heard back from the guy that makes these. He was asking what size we would like for both. He came up with something just to give us an idea of what it could look like. I don't know how labor intensive it is to personalize them as far as font goes or if there is a single template that he'll make, but I'll find out. I emphasize, the one below is just a shoot from the hip tag, not what they'll look like if we get enough people to get him to make them.

edit: I emailed Bizzy to get this posted in the Gauging interest page, but haven't heard back yet. This thread probably isn't getting exposure to the rest of the SHO guys out there.

looks good aside from the "3.5L EcoBoost Twin Turbo V-6" as I'd be buying one for my '97 SHO, a "3.4L 32 Valve V-8" would be sweet and more applicable. I do like the ford oval, but I prefer the "Ford Motorsport" or "Ford Racing" logo...

I just sent another email with your questions, specifically if they can be personalized with a specific font and script. Now that I think about it, the VIN and name are all different, so it sounds feasible. I'll let you know as soon as I hear back. If any of you have an example of each font, please email me. Also, if you can tell me what size for each.

dumb question, but what is it made of? is it just a vinyl sticker, or painted/brushed aluminum? Baised off the pricing, I'd imagine it's some sorta aluminum thing, but I just thought I'd ask.

It's a valid question. It's metal, I imagine brushed aluminum. I can't think of anything to compare it to, everything is plastic or vinyl on cars today. Put it this way, if you bend it, you'll ruin it.

I like the first design. For the Gen2s just replace the Mach1 with the SHO logo from the rear bumper.

Send me a picture of a straight on shot. I can't call myself true SHO aficionado yet, ergo I put Probie next to my avatar. I want to send this guy exactly what you all are asking for.

Hmm, this is something i would be greatly interested in. Nice little dress-up/personalization item.

Although i would like a ford racing logo, i dont think it would fit as ford racing didnt have anything to do with my '95 SHO (unless they did? I've never heard about the car going through that route.) I would prob stick with the blue oval

didn't they race the taurus in nascar? I figure if it's a ford and it's a hipo vehicle, eventually it'll be raced.

I'll be up at Kirk's this weekend at some point. Of course he has all four Generations there, I'll snap some pics for us.

BTW, if it's too much of a pain to make the different fonts, the one you posted looks great. I'll get some measurements as well.

That'll be great Bob. I did some surfing on the net trying to find SHO logos, but didn't really come up with anything. I sent Gary, the guy who's doing the tags, some cropped pictures of the trunk badges off the '10 SHO. I was looking more for something in print, but the badges is about all I came up with.

edit: I told Kirk that I would stop up at his shop next time I'm out visiting my brother, he lives in the Hudson Valley, but he's coming up here for Thanksgiving. I'll let you know next time I'm up there.

I don't have a straight on bumper picture, but I do have a straight on door molding pic, which has the same style "SHO" on it, plus mine's painted so it's easier to see ;). This was taken about a week after I had finished repainting and polishing the hole car.
