Dear Sirs, Does anyone know where this part is installed? The part has no number. I would appreciate it if anyone could help.

What is the approximate size of that? If about 3.5 inches / 9 cm (eyeballing, not direct conversion) then it might be one of the front subframe mounts. Did you find it underneath your 1992 SHO, and was it towards the front or the rear of the car if so?

Hello. Thanks for the feedback. This part is 3" (76mm). When I disassembled a 1995 SHO a few years ago, this part came out of the shock absorber/suspension assembly, however, it has no identification (part number) and I also couldn't find it in catalogs by the format where it fits.

Hello. Exactly this part. My 1992 SHO is without this part and apparently everything works fine. I honestly don't know the purpose of this part, but if it is there it is because someone in engineering predicted this part. Thank you very much for your attention.

You are on the right track. It came from a rear shock absorber. Sits on top of the spring.

It is not needed. From what I remember it's some sort of vibration damper for the rear strut and only came on a certain number of cars. I've only ever seen it on two different cars and I've never replaced one that I removed.
