So I was discussing this with Fred and think I may go for it...

I plan on giving my SHO a new paintjob and while I am at it I think I am going to body match the pillars. I don't like them being black...looks like they were to cheap to do a whole paint job. What does everyone think?

I've thought about that too, and I think it's a cool idea. How it might look would be another thing. It COULD look real cool, but it might not, it's hard to say without seeing it. Maybe someone can photoshop an image.

Silver is my favorite on a SHO ,gives it that sophisticated look.More sleep in the sleeper.

Giving it a fresh coat of Green. It would look just like the non plus Gen I's. IF I don't like it I could always strip it off and but back the flat black

The black pillars and tint create a more flowing overall appearance. Silver will create a weird boundary between the windows. But paint the door handles if they are black.

I have two friends will shos who both painted the pillars to match the car. One was purple and the other was the lincoln ls gray color. Both looked excellent with the pillars done. Im getting mine painted next week and am having the pillars painted. I am also painting the door handles to match, but of course I had to get a set of handles off of a 94-95!

Yes, paint the pillars and the mirrors, then clear coat at least 2 coats.
Might check out Imron, especially metallics; its the best paint around. Whatever you use, be sure to use epoxy primer!! No chipped paint for one thing! Regular primer, including that "etching" type, is a weak foundation for paint, it's dinosaur. Epoxy primer is best for any kind of paint. Helps resist rust too. Do some research and you will see I am right.
