only accels with light throttle

D00d did you unplug your Mass Air Flow Sensor and drive it like we told you to? If your MAF took a dump and it only accelerates under light throttle and falls on its face with heavy throttle it could be going into limp mode. This means it's retarding your timing by about 10*.

problem solved with new plugs and wires!
Removing the intake was a little(lot)intimidating but everything went well and now she is running fine.
Thanks again to all who took the time to give me avenues to approach in solving the problem so now its on to the next one.....
I daily drive this 89 and am proud to be one of the VERY few running Gen-1's on the road here in Memphis.
