So, I bought my used 2015 SHO in Massachusetts, but live in CT. The dealer drove it down. I persuaded the dealer to take the car through CT emissions for me.
In CT, the Department of Motor Vehicles has been closed. You could apply for registration and license plates by dropping off paperwork at DMV and waiting 7 weeks (officially 6, actually 7-8). But, you need to include emissions testing paperwork in what you drop off. But, you can't get the car to emissions testing without a registration (plates). See the issue?
Anyway, I lucked out. The state opened 6 total dealerships in the entire state to register cars they didn't sell. I got mine to a rather helpful Chevy dealer an hour away from home and got my plates same day -- then the Chevy dealer opted out of the state program, so now there's 5. Otherwise, it would have been 7 weeks waiting for plates.
So, performance mods. For father's day, I got and installed a Kenwood dashcam and also a Uniden R3 radar detector.
This is going to be good .....
