I have a 1995 atx and i have been smelling burning oil for a little while now. Well today, i popped the hood because i was driving it a little rough and when i stopped i saw some smoke coming from the left side of the motor. I inspected it closely and it seems oil was leaking down from right above where the spark plug wires connect to the motor ( not where the wires actually connect to the spark plugs the other end of the wires right next to the air filter) does anyone have any idea what this could be leaking from?

If the leak is that high then it is either coming from the cam seals or spark plug wells. You need to pull the wires and inspect for oil and try to see if there is a trail from the cam shaft area.

Biggest pain is removing the intake. not really hard, at all, but then again, I've had mine on and off 5 times in the last few days.. :)

P.S. How bout them Steelers?

It's not too difficult unless you strip one of the valve cover bolts. They are aluminum and very soft. Make sure you locate the leak source before you jump in to a project.

the oil seems to be coming from right where the intake valves turn into one and connect to the airbox. after rubbing my finger under there i got a good amount of oil on it
