5 lbs when you should be at 40? And that is why there is no wear on the bearings? You should have gotten a second opinion. Nothing there looks bad and with 0 oil cirulation at idle, those bearings would look like chew toys.

Me suspects your mechanic read oil pressure with his Snap On scanner instead of actually installing a mechanical gauge. The problem there is that if your sender is bad, the scanner displays the wrong info.

Nah, warranty gets to pay for it. My mechanic told me before that there was no damage to them. He wants to replace them when he replaces the oil pump.
They looked worn to me. That is what I thought, not what he thought.

Be sure to use new connecting rod bolts as they are torque to yield bolts.

Those bearings show little wear and could not be the sole cause of the extremely low oil pressure that was previously quoted. Below is the image of my engine's rod bearings that were removed after 269,000 miles. They are worn into the copper, yet still did not result in below normal oil pressure.

UPDATE:
The work has been authorized by the warranty company after 30 friggin days! My SHO should be back in my possession by the 14th of August.
