Well, it's just plain dumb to sell a car and buy the same kind for one problem. You'll probably have bad luck and end up in the same situation within a week. A new battery and alternator replaced beats the heck out of selling and buying a new SHO with the title transfer fees and what not.

If you need someone to work on your SHO, give DHMag a PM. He lives in Kerville and is usually willing to travel to work. I wouldn't hesitate to have him work on a SHO, that's if you need someone to do the work. :thumb:

yea ive called that guy before i think...does he have a white gen 1? ive called him about a rattling noise my car makes...but yea i 'll take all that into consideration..thank for all the info guys...but does anyone know excatly where the voltage regulator is located? and will this cause my check engine light to come on or is something else wrong?

The voltage regulator is inside the alternator. The plug that you connect to the alternator is actually the regulator itself.

:) None of us were born with this knowledge. It just came with experience and from asking others. Ask away! :thumb:

Yes, that's him.

Not unless it lowers your rpms or voltage, making the electronics receive low amounts of voltage. I'd still check the codes just to make sure!
