after my car was running the timing belt tensioner broke so i had to take it back apart and replace that. Well now that its back together i have no spark. Rolls over fine everythign sounds good just no spark. Then only things we touched spark wise are the crank position senser and DIS. Is there any way we can check to see if these are working?

After my crank sensor died, I wanted to make sure that was it too. I scanned the car and got a PIP code. I knew it was the crank sensor then.

You can remove and get the DIS checked for free at A-Z or at Murray's, the latter is where I had mine tested, for whatever reason every Autozone I tried was missing the test clips for my module. It turned out to be fine and I had to replace the CPS. By testing it first I saved a chunk of change. When you replaced the cps did you gap it right?

I just ran a profile and realized you did a motor swap... I didnt realize it because this post didnt mention it or any of the other work you did regarding that very involved task. Sorry but good luck I know nothing of troubleshooting motor swaps.

test your coil pack, check for continuity in all the wires involving the ignition system

Did you put di-electric grease on the DIS before installing it? Or after you took it off....if you took it off at all? And if you took it off, it ain't upside-down, is it? Just coverin all the bases....

Do NOT use di-electric grease when mounting the DIS module to the crossover. Use only HEAT SINK COMPOUND. They are very different products.

A dead CPS will cause a no-reading on the tach.

Make certain you installed the holddown bolts for the crossover tube. Also, make certin that the bolt area is clean and free of paint or other residue that might keep the crossover tube from properly grounding to the intake manifold.

Check your power feed to the coil. (IGN COIL fuse).

it sure makes things interesting...I didn't have mine bolted down once after changing the CKP...and for 2 weeks, I thought my timing was off...sometimes it would start, sometimes it wouldn't, but in NEVER revved past 2k rpms....until I put those bolts back in......and YAY!!!! :thumb:
