No PCV then why is my intake so dirty after 5k?

I have attached some pictures of the intake ports, I thoroughly cleaned the heads and intake before installing 5000 miles ago, are there any reasons as to why the intake has so much oil, pretty sure its oil, built up if I have the PCV under the fuel rails and TB vented to atmosphere? where is the oil coming from?

Overlap with combustion. I've been trying to tell people this for a few years now. I haven't had the PCV hooked up for quite some time and afer 4.5k miles, my runners are dirty too (verified yesterday).

When you say you have the TB vented to atmosphere, are you talking about the CCV that comes off of the valve cover?

sorry I meant to say the ****** that comes off the front valve cover, the lines under the TB are all blocked off.....other than the brake booster, the only thing left are leaky valve seals, haven't noticed any smoke, oh well

and why don't they have a ventilation on the rear valve cover?

You don't really need any venting on the rear. All the passages are connected, so it's relieving crankcase pressure. In a stock configuration, the valve cover up front is actually an air intake until the PCV can't keep up.

I put 2 small filters on both of my cars. It really cuts down on the "dirty intake" syndrome.

Yeah, but neither the OP or I have anything other than the intake filter connected.
