FInally got the SFC's installed and wow, what a difference; all those strange noises are gone and really stiffens up the chassis considerably; best mod I've done so far...until the Quaife goes in next month !

I never noticed a difference when I installed my SFC's on my red car. I do know when I put the car up on jack stands all the way around, if the floor is not level, one jack stand will not reach the car. I'm not even bothering with them on my white car, and I can get them for like $30...

So I noticed you are happy with these sfc. I was just curious which ones you used. I have been looking at different ones but I am skeptical because of wieght issues, durability etc. I know diff people make shorter versions or longer. Also i have heard of problems with exhasut fit ment or installation with them on. Anyway let me know what you think. thanks

get a welder , and cut off wheel

that job looks very simple to me . I have seen some diff. designs . The SFC's with a short bend in them look to be the best . The bend being much stonger than a welded joint . But if ur a good welder and prep the joint right . I SHOuld think that it will more than work .

I think i have seem the straight style too . In that case just get ur self some fairly gauge 1 by 2 tubing . Cut it and weld'er in .

Maybe i'm missing something . But they seem way over priced . The " machine bent " style I might shell some extra dough . but not the welded ones

come to thing , if alum. wasen't so dam price'e , a guy could use some alum. SFC's

mmmmmmmmmmmm................shiny

They were one of the first mods I did to my car. My car was completely stock and when I added them I could tell a big difference. When I made a very fast lane change you could tell it was more immediate. Without them it seemed like I was waiting for the rear end to catch up. With them it seemed like the whole car changed lanes at once. Now if your car has Strut tower braces, heavier swaybars, struts, shocks, bushings, etc. you might not notice as big a difference.

I had the SFC welded in after I have installed Konis, SS Linears, Strut Bars, all new bushings, outer tie rods, and LCA. It made a huge difference on my SHO. I can tell the difference between my SHO and my brother's 1991 SHO with intrax/tokicos. My second favorite mod after the quaife.

I have a set installed by FPS and they def improved the feel of my car. It would react quicker and felt more stabile around corners. FPS uses the shorter style that gets welded from mid front to the blocks below the rear tension rod mounts on the body.
