Hi everyone. My 93 ATX has been running just fine until one morning recently when I start it up, put it in Reverse to pull out of the driveway - and nothing. I put it in Drive - nothing. I try all the other gears - nothing.
I've checked the cable that is connected from the shift lever to the top of the transmission case. It's intact and operating correctly, physically shifting the lever through the gears.
Here are the current engine codes just pulled:
KOEO:
111 - No faults detected
659 (memory) - High vehicle speed in park detected
KOER:
639 - Transmission Speed Sensor (TSS) circuit fault - insufficient input from TSS to PCM
225 - Knock sensor
I assume the ATX tranny is toast? Which is a damn shame as it only has just under 50,000 miles on it since I put in a rebuilt one.
Could I be overlooking anything that might cause this behavior, such as the 639 code above? Can the PCM shut down transmission activity even if the lever is in DRIVE or REVERSE?
Thanks,
Jim
