I've been completely stumped trying to diagnose what's wrong with my interceptor 3.5tt hopefully someone can help here. The acceleration is completely gone and im having a hard time even getting to 60mph if the car revs past 2700 it starts to squeak very loud and the shifts become extremely rough. I replaced the serpentine belt hoping that would help but it did nothing. Noise seems to be coming from the right side of the engine and no slipping in the transmission. Check engine light in on due to P0420 catalyst bank 1 below efficiency and thats it.

With the P0420, it's possibly a plugged cat. How many miles on the car?

See if you can remove the pre cat O2 sensor and see if it runs any better.

Can you determine if the squeak is related to engine speed or vehicle speed? If vehicle speed, have you checked the condition of the fluid in your PTU? Does the car coast/push easily in Neutral? Do you happen to have access to a smoke tester or some aerosol throttle body cleaner to check for vacuum leaks? As mentioned by Texas Marauder above, pulling the Bank 1 upstream oxygen sensor to see if the power mostly comes back might point you in the right direction. Similarly, checking for correct fuel pressure would be another thing to check.

Another thought, Does it rev properly in neutral. If it acts the same in N or D, it is an engine or exhaust problem. If it only acts up in D, it is a transmission or driveline problem.
