I just finished pulling my engine and trans tonight.
i pulled everything except a/c lines and brake lines, other then that the engine compartment is bare.
when i pulled the engine and trans i noticed something. the date on my mtx said 2003. now i know that cant be right but the trans looks pretty clean and newish (if thats a word) the sticker was dirty and when i went to wipe it off some of the numbers started to rub off but im 100% sure it said 2003 and i just wanna know whats up with this?

It's really hard to see the pics, is the print hand written?

Edit: It looks hand written to me, perhaps it was rebuilt in 2003.

half-way there, I think.
It looks about right to me. But after looking at the sticker on Phil's MTX last night and looking at my spare trans this morning. The date is a code, not a year. It's a number, letter, number, number code. My spare trans has 2A07, I'm betting yours is 2,o, 0 and 3.

Oh, I can tell you the year of manufacture though, the above was built in 1992, the F stands for 9 (decade) and the 2 is the year. So the above trans came out of atleast a 92. I'm betting yours has the same F2.

Edit:
After I little research, I have found that the transmission I have pictured was built on January 7, 1992.

The second number on your transmission can not be a oh or zero. maybe a C or D
