Hello all,
I'm new to the forum but I own a 1994 Taurus SHO with a 5 speed manual transmission. I bought this car from a co-worker back around 2009. The original owner drove it from 94 to approximately 2004. It had about 115,000 miles on it back then. After I bought it I changed plugs, wires , changed all the filters, and oil. Put in a new battery and got it started and running. It ran for approximately 2 months then it was slow to respond to throttle. So I knew it was probably due to crap in the fuel tank. I changed the fuel filter again , and it ran fine for about a week. Checked the fuel filter , same crap. So I put in a new fuel tank and pump. It ran great for about another 9 or 10 months. Then it happened again. Slow throttle response. So it has been sitting since about 2012.
I am looking for someone who knows the Yamaha SHO engine and can help me to get this car running like it suppose to.
I live in Atlanta , Georgia.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Roswell
