Hey to all,
I recently bought a new radio for my 1992 SHO. The new radio is from a 1994 Taurus, but besides that its the same. Well, I hooked up everything that I could see, including all the electronics in the trunk and the radio itself. When I turn it on now, I get a display on the radio screen, but there's no sound at all. Is there something I missed? If any of you guys could help with this, it would be great.

Was the 1994 radio part of a JBL system, a standard Ford hi-level system, or a base system? The JBL radio needs a "turn-on" wire to activate the amplifiers in the trunk. It should be a blue wire.

Question 2: Is it a new radio? A 1994 radio will possibly have faulty capacitors like my '93 had.

In addition to making sure it was from the same "level" as the SHO per Steve93's post above, are you sure the rest of the stereo works? Or were you replacing the 1992 radio because it also had no sound?
