I got a new head unit but it has no sound through any speakers. My subs work fine...Also I hooked a speaker directly to the cd player and it played so im guessin something in the factory amp is screwed. Is their a fuse for the factory amp?

Did you buy one of those harness's that has the little turning deals that you can adjust the output so it can use the factory amp or did you buy just a wire harness that bypasses the amp? If you got that fancy harness with the turning deals then you need to hook the blue remote wire from the deck to the remote wire on the harness and the amp should fire right up. I had the same problem with bandito when i hooked my pioneer up in it a while back.

well i had an aftermarket cd player in it before.. basically the 8 speakers wires run to a plug that goes into a gray covered tube that runs back to the factory amp. I took out the old cd player and put in the new but dont ahve any sound. tomorrow i mgiht just run staright wires to each speaker if i have too. i just cant think of what happened..

Are you using both the factory harnesses? There should be two of them, one long and rectangular, and another smaller and square. Perhaps you have them wired incorrectly.

I am having the same problem and I think you have to buy an amp bypass cable.

I have never had this problem and have also never bypassed the amp. Something is incorrectly wired.

i never use harnesses, i just ripped it all apart and rewired it...

if you want to use your stock anp, you can wire RCA plugs onto the wires that go to the amp and use your headunits low level outputs...

Why not? It is a very easy and simple process. Just a few screws and some firm but even force and they pop right off.

I unscrewed all the screws on the door panel and I couldnt really get it to budge. I dont want to mess up my door panel How many screws are their and which part should I pull on.

it really is easy to do, but it invariably casues damage to the things holding it on, so you end up with a floppy door panel, unless you have the right tool or get really lucky...

and once you get it off, it can be quite difficult to run new wire into it, especially on the drivers side.

Boy, I've never had a problem with damaging more than one or two of the pressure pins. Usually I can reuse all of them. You can start by pulling at a bottom corner. If you need to, use a plastic door panel tool or cover a screwdriver with a clean rag and pry the panel away so you can get your fingers in. When you pull it should pop the pin out and you can work your way around the door. Make sure to unscrew the switches and then lift the door up and out of the windowsill. Also, take off the sail panels at the a-pillars. There may be another screw hiding behind them.

Just been through it too many times. Perhaps your climate differs from mine? Or maybe I just keep getting garaged vehicles?
