It's all good, you got me right.
Matt/Frosho is two days ahead of me and I was just hoping Kirk would join in.

Most of NESHO should join in. :nut: Tonight around 11 will be the one week mark for me. And Colin's right - I am quite pleased with myself.

Your turn, Kirk!

i tried everything but chantix, but that's only because of potential psychotic episodes when mixed with certain other medication i take...however i am also on the non-smoking bandwagon thanks to e-cigs. all the old familiar habits and sensations without those nasty side-effects. i strongly recommend them to anyone having trouble quitting due to the physical habit...you can get em without nicotine. if you're interested, i can point you in the right direction.

also just started chantex. today is day one of them. how long are you supose to take them for?

I used it the first time, thought I had it beat and stopped after 3 weeks, fail after a month and a bunch of beers.
Second time a year later I took it for 1 month and two more weeks free using my Moms leftovers so six weeks, lasted over three months until I got laid off in March and said F*** it for summer.
This time (just like the others) I'm pretty confident I'm done. I'll buy another month if I have to but more important I've got people smoking while the're talking to me all day and it's not driving me crazy. I can smell it, taste it, I'd like one but I know it will lead to more. Reality is I'm dumping every reason not to over and over on myself, and I need the $ for VIR track tires!!!!

As for the psychotic episodes, **** that's the fun part, the freaking dreams are like acid sometimes. I've been nailing all the old girlfriends, ******** out old bosses and customers and the wife is telling me all the stuff I'm saying in my sleep, it's hilarious.

Get ahold of SHOCH. He's the one getting them made. IIRC, they run about $60. They're not a t-shirt, rather a dickies work shirt with embroidering on the front and back.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, Kirk. Take better care of yourself!

Congrats to all of you that are working on quitting smoking. I also hope Kirk joins you in this endeavor.

I know it is tough but you'll all feel better in the long run and it will be nice to be able to see you all at the convention in 30 years. Heck, I'll only be 86, no problem.

Hey Kirk!

Got SNOW!!!!

My brother-in-law has been plowing our Apt. Complex in Rockford, IL area almost 24/7 this last week. NO PLACE TO EVEN PUT THE STUFF! Just finished again today (3-4"last night) with over 20" in last week.

So... I feel for you... and while you are getting $$$$... I am paying my brother-in-law.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Hang in there!

Heck, I wouldn't trade you for anything.

The kids are grown (well sorta), we come and go as we please and I don't have to go to work (unless I want to).

We got to take a 4 week driving tour in New England/Maritime Provinces of Canada in 2009, a 4 week driving tour in Europe last fall and planning a 4 week driving tour of the U.S. Northwest/British Columbia & Alberta Canada this summer after we get home from the convention.

LIfe IS a highway and has never been better.
