92 SHO with 60k. Did the full 60k @ 60K due to tick or rattle noise coming from motor. Did not inprove situation, valve all were with in spec. Eliminated pullies and accesories. Pulled oil pan did rod bearings, uppers all showing copper, replaced them. Started up, motor slight tick for 10 seconds till oil got to top of motor then sounded good. Two minutes after start up rattling came back, motor revs smooth. Shut down, restarted, noise present, then goes away. Ran vehicle for five minutes noise comes and goes. Sounded good for a minute then rattles for a few seconds, varies in volume. I'm very frustrated, and don't know what else to replace. Heat shields tight, and engaging clutch or disengaging cluth seems to have no affect. Is there a good mechanic in SE Michigan that has experience trouble shooting SHO's. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You will need a mechanic's stethoscope to properly diagnose the source of the noise. They are only 5 bucks at Harbor Freight, so there is no excuse for not getting one. Some people use a long scewdriver, but the right tool really makes it easier.

Once you can point to a specific part of the engine where the noise seems to originate from, we can tell you what's in there that might explain the noise.
