So, I've decided I'm gonna squeeze the shit out of my 95 MTX this spring (just in time for the convention). Upon doing so, I've considered BBBs (my runners are already ported) and cams....now, I've heard mixed reviews on cams with power adders. Is it just with FI that cams tend to not do so well, or is N20 added into that pile, too? Or have I just been reading a bunch of stuff from people who seem to think it's fun to talk out their collective *****?

Now...if cams are acceptable, which cams should I consider, since this car will be a daily driver (pizza delivery vehicle)? I wanna be able to idle for periods of time, still get half way decent fuel economy, and not have to worry about reliability. Stage 1s do me?

Input...need input!

I got the 40+ from sho nut. They are not installed yet , but they say the idle is a little rough but it can be corrected with a LPM/tweecer. Mine will be a daily driver too. the 40+ pulls a little more hp at high end only.

the 20+ has a not so rough idle , more something you can live with , without a lpm/tweecer.

Depends if you would like to have a rough idle at the red light....Definatly up to your taste.

As far as nitro , once in awhile i doupt its gonna hurt anything. Id spare my money on other bolt ons instead of the nitro (cose i love N/A) but thats another story.

Out in front!
Get the +20's for the extra low end grunt and use the spray for top end. Cams are gonna help performance on any engine. They just respond different at different RPM's. I.E. 20's low end 40's top end.

Ummm.....that's not what I asked....I could care less about who's doing what to their car...I asked for an opinion on streetable cams for N20 usage...not whether or not I shuld stick with the bottle of go all motor.....

I first had my 3.2 with 3.0 cams and a 75 shot. I really enjoyed the low end torque. Massive wheel spin was not a problem in first, without the nitrous. I know have the +40 cams in the same engine and the top end pull is amazing. A slight loss before 4K, but after that, zoom! However, for a true daily driver, I would stick with the +20's. Either way you choose, you will be happy at the performance increase.:thumb:

I have the SHOBros (SHOShop) Stage 1 cams in my SHO and they have done quie well. Very good gains accross the board. You can check out the dyno on our site as well. The car idles fairly well, just a touch rougher then stock, LPM helps a lot.

The SHOs with the +20 from what I have seen loose torque all accross the board from dynos I have seen. So I dont know how they will turn out.
