so had the car over heat the other day but had an IR and the temps were only at 200 so the reading for the coolant temp and block cylinder head temp were not as hot as I thought it was . So last night I was driving it had over temp warning and then like 2 seconds later check engine light came on. Shut car off for like 20 minutes drove home didn’t over heat. Scanned it and the camshaft sensor had an open. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and it went away and hasn’t come back. Coolant is in between the max and min when cold so coolant level is not changing. The AC blows cold and the heater works on full blast and keeps the engine temp a little lower.
