Hi all,

Monday my '98 goes in for an oil change and tranny flush, and I also scheduled a Motorvac intake / engine cleaning. I doubt the car has ever had a cleaning like that before, so it's probably overdue at 60k. Any reasons *not* to have this done?

Thanks! -Ben

If you took the intake off you would be able to do the same thing and much better. All the Motorvac cleaning will do is eliminate the pooled PCV condensate and some of the lighter carbon deposits that come form the PCV condensate.

The Motorvac cleaning will not get the hard carbon deposits off, but may loosen them so that they will go through the engine. Not something I would want to do.
