motorcraft thermostat . is it adjustable?

I picked up a new 180 degree t-stat and the guy at the parts store mentioned that it looks adjustable.

If you look at the end of it, it is threaded and there is a slot in the end which leads me to believe that somebody decided that it might need tweaking. Anybody know about this. I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere here.

No. It is not adjustable.

I have a spare FORD t-stat....I'll try it tomorrow....
