The SHO has not moved in a couple of months, as it refuses to start. (Except one time when I had people over to help me push it out of the way.) It cranks and cranks, the tach registers RPM, it just never fires. Today I bought a fuel pressure gauge. It shows 0 when the key is on, *** jumps to 10psi when cranking. Obviously, that is a little low. I suppose I should try the fuel filter first, but expect I will need a new pump.
This brings up some questions.
1. Where is the fuel filter? Is it something that can be purchased as a local autoparts store?
2. What fuel pump should I get? I see SHO Brothers have several. Right now the car is a $200 SHO that needs everything. I plan on basic bolt ons, but I don't know if it will ever see FI. Is the 155GHP fine? As long as they are inline price wise, I would like to buy from an SHO vendor.
3. What am I missing? I don't always know what the **** I am doing, so I could be missing something obvious.
Thanks
Kevin
