Does this quote for timing chain/pump/100k maintenance look fair?

My 2015 SHO is just passing 100k, and I am losing coolant, although I am not finding it anywhere and oil is clean. I figure the pump will go soon. I did some research and compiled a list of things to do along with the water pump.

What do you guys think? Seem fair? It seems higher than what other people say they paid, but I did add a lot of things. Anything missing? Anything I should just do myself?

Thanks!

That is probably a close to normal quote. I don't even know what is fair anymore. Prices are off the chain for almost anything (except new tv's??). Price the parts for what you can get them for and look at the difference of that quote. I think prices will start to make amateur mechanics out of regular people again. Do you have a make or break cost?

Coolant has to go somewhere. I would not do alot of work until I figured out what is going on with that. Imagine doing all that work and finding out a month later it needs a head gasket and everything has to pulled apart again. Is it leaking out the pump weep hole? Is it burning from a HG leak to cylinder? There are test kits for the presence of oil/coolant in those respective systems.

I agree with @luigisho just make sure they replace everything they can touch, but to be fair yes run with that!

No, VVT551 is a phaser. Some 3.5 non turbo FWD have an exhaust phaser and all (AFIAK) 3.5 RWD engines have an exhaust phaser.

Ok I will ask them to double-check that. Everything else looks good though? Since you seem pretty knowledgeable, what do you think about my turbos? I asked them to inspect, but should I ask them to do anything else? Would it be worth it to replace if they aren't shot?

I've seen people say that their turbo seals were shot, but didn't say how they fixed. My car does not make any strange noises except it sounds a little bit like a diesel when it starts up. Not a rattle or grinding sound, but like I can hear the turbos spinning and making the whirring/whine sound a little bit. It goes away when the idle lowers.

Also, there is a little resonator attached to the intake. Another SHO owner told me to delete it because it "leaks boost." Does that sound reasonable?

You'll need these seals (O-rings) (6) Seal ‐ VCT Setup 7T4Z‐6C262‐AA that go on the VCT housings. There seem to be 4 O-rings on each housing. I don't know if the 4th O-ring is the same as the other 3. I wouldn't replace the VVTs if they are not causing a problem. Later, if they need replacing, it's just removing the valve cover to change out. There is a listing for 2 VVT gaskets TA-357. The VVT gaskets are included with the valve cover set and TA-357 is silicone sealant, one should be enough. Coolant capacity is 11.4 qts so, 3 gallons. $245 for differential service seems excessive for a drain and fill.

Of course, it all seems too expensive to me since I would do my own work.

Inspect the VCT housing seals for damage and replace as necessary.

NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

NOTE: During removal, the O-ring seal may remain on the cylinder head. If so, remove the O-ring seal from the cylinder head, inspect the seal (replace as necessary) and install the O-ring seal on the VCT housing.

Inspect the VCT housing-to-cylinder head O-ring seals for damage and replace as necessary.

Some of that stuff seems high, like the PTU and differential services. Those are literally, remove drain bolt and fill bolt, let it drain, replace drain bolt, fill to weep hole, replace fill bolt. And, the only way you're gonna need 12 quarts of ATF is if they drain and fill twice, as they'll only get about 6 quarts out. Doing it twice will replace ~75% of the fluid, which is decent.

As far as the labor for the water pump and chains / phasers, I don't know--I haven't looked into that stuff yet.

The water pump on my 2017 started leaking @ 62K miles, had it towed to dealer, still under warranty. Water pump replaced. Had the timing chain etc. replaced . The timing chain service was $417.39. Not including replacing the timing chain cover, which was also done under warranty. I would be interested in knowing what the actual cost for doing the 100K spark plugs , etc.
TIA
