Thanks for the comments guys. Hopefully I can settle something out with 2010sho and soon I can order a new one.

Once its been married to a car, it cant even be rewritten by coastal tech until its unmarried from the vehicle. I was hoping I could send it to them, but they cant do anything with it.

Hey guys, 2010SHO has issued me a full refund, and I will be uninstalling the unit today and getting it back to him.

He said the ford dealer still has his car and is willing to fix it up for him.

Im really glad he came through and is helping me out here.

Thanks again to 2010SHO for making it right.

Well I just went out and uninstalled the lockpick and harness. Under 30 minutes start to finish...

So if anyone in the omaha area wants one installed when you buy one, hit me up! Ill do it for $30! easy enough...

I plan to purchase a new one here in the next couple hours... lol

He said once he has ford unmarry it he will offer it up for sale here again. I would wait and repurchase it from him, but I have a trip coming up for the airforce, then I will be on vacation and as soon as I get back Im taking the SHO to MN with me and I wanna have it all set up before then, otherwise I would purchase it from him again.

Coastal tech told me that they couldnt do anything with the unit once its been married to a car...

I think its BS, I overwrite software and start from scratch at work all the time....

I happened to be in Omaha yesterday and was actually able to meet Nate... great guy.

I will get the lockpic to my dealer tomorrow. They will have to bring it into the service dept and rip it apart. Install the lockpic, I'm not sure they will have to put back the screen, head unit and plug in the PT start button.

Then demarry the device, then un-install everything and put it back together. I need to inform them that I'm not paying for it as I did'nt screw it up the first time.

I'm not concerned as I have bought 10 Fords from them over the last 12 years.

Please pardon me for dredging up an ancient thread, bit does anyone have the pictures saved that we formerly hosted by Photobucket?

i sent N8rfastback a private message about 9 days ago asking for the same pictures to be reposted. I subscribed a while ago so i could reference back when i buy my own lockpik. It sucks when a really good "how to" thread like this becomes obsolete b/c

The only thing I would note is that the video is for a 2013, so do not know if there any significant changes to the interior that would affect prior year SHOs.
