I started driving again three days ago and have already gone 300+ miles on the GearheadAuto Octane tune. It's perfect. ZERO issues with shifting, regardless of outside temperature or road traction. It just works, exactly like the v10 did, but I'm pretty sure the car is faster. Will know for sure in spring when the track opens.
Again, thanks to all on this forum. I love my car again!!

Same results here. The car drives perfectly, shifts perfectly, no weirdness, no shuddering, no missed shifts, nothing. It doesn't make any difference if the traction control is on or off. You can't make it miss a gear, and I tried many times. It doesn't rev as high as LMS V11, shifting just short of 6000 RPM, but it doesn't feel like you lose any acceleration. I didn't do any measured runs, but it feels quick as **** and spins all 4 tires on the 1-2 shift. Air fuels are definitely leaner than LMS and run around .80-.82 lambda under heavy load. LMS v11 ran .74 or so. I think .82 is still pretty safe though. That's like 12:1 and still well into the rich side of things. It should help with carbon build up and produce less soot too. Knock retard runs maybe a degree or so floored and didn't go over 2.5 in a 25 minute log of mixed driving on 93 octane with several balls to the wall runs up to 80 or so. I saw up to 7.5 knock retard on LMS with it averaging closer to 2.5 at full throttle. Fuel pressure runs over 2000 most of the time under full throttle acceleration and never dropped below 1560. It's actually a little higher than commanded most of the time.

In short. The car drives great. I'll attach a couple log screenshots of a 0-60 run and 15-80 pull at different zoom levels. I had a few extra PIDs selected in the first one. Sorry it's a little busy.

Matt messaged me to ask which version of the AO tune I have, and I'm not exactly sure where to look. He asked if it was 7xx. What version do you have?

GH E30 DL SNIP Just for a little bit of fun... here is a datalog of my E30 Gearhead Tune with the LMS Firestorm HPFP....

In third I am holding 1.78 of load, 16-17psi of boost, 23 degrees of spark, and over 2800psi of fuel pressure.. in the winter.. with winter fuel etc etc etc...

Highly suggest getting the upgraded HPFP either way.. this car is a rocket ship with this tune.

I ordered a catch can from LMS on Dec 20, and am currently considering escalating my paypal status to a claim because LMS has not shipped or responded to my emails since taking my cash on Dec 20. I suspect some vindictiveness, and of course, need a new source for a hpfp. Now if someone would just explain what e30 is and since I know you know, how much improvement would be gained over 93 octane. I'm guessing it involves e85, which is available here.

Mine is version 772 also. On a similar note, where are we supposed to send the logs to? I just replied to the sales@ghtuning address and sent logs there. There weren’t any instructions with the tune file.

Noticed you have zero knock retard. Is that from the pump or the extra octane from all that ethanol? I will consider a pump after my car is out of warranty. Just don’t want to do something that aggressive yet.

I can’t imagine this car with that much more power. Mine with just a tune spins all 4 tires on the 1-2 shift, and the whole car feels like it’s hopping for a second. I suspect that’s due to the crappy all season tires though.

The zero knock is a product of tuning correctly for the type of fuel I am running. Yes, the ethanol helps keeps knock away at the power levels I am running, otherwise I would be knocking ******* just 93.

Yours shouldn't be spinning all four tires at the 1-2 shift, either there is something wrong, or your tires are bald. I have had wheel hop on that shift, but not had the back kick out on either my 2016 nor my 2010 which was putting down more power..

They’re not spinning a lot. It’s just enough to hop for a split second on the 1-2 shift. The original LMS v11 did the same thing before they started experimenting trying to fix the shuddering and pulled a bunch of power out. It was also 20 degrees on cold, hard tires and a cold road.

I wish it didn’t do it, but I just figured it was normal at these power levels with the torque management dialed out this much. I’ll take a little hop over the soft, laggy way it feels stock, though.

Hey Steal - sorry if I missed it, but what are your numbers on your e30 tune? Have you thrown her on a dyno? Which dyno and what numbers? Last question, how do you get a e30 tune - meaning is there e30 at the pump? I've never looked to be honest, I know there's e85... Thanks!!

This should be called PE30..... Premium pump E10 blended with E85 from the pump. My normal ratio if pump is 85% is 2 gallons of e85 to 5 gallons if E10.

That’s a good question....

Unfortunately NONE of the shops within a couple hour drive have either an AWD Dynometer or their current one is broken and can’t mechanically link the rollers...

So I have no idea on numbers... I just have to infer them based on information from the tuning companies....

Hopefully I can get it on a dyno in the spring as that is when one of the shops is supposed to have their dyno fixed...

TBH I’m not THAT concerned with dyno numbers... it’s more how it performs at the track..

Last time I went to the track with the E30 GH tune I ran a 12.41 with stock exhaust and stock downpipes... basically a CAI, 3BAR, Upgraded HPFP, and Springs...

Last time at the track with LMS E30 I ran a 12.799 with the same modifications as above but with stock springs.

I have since received updated tunes from both tuners... so it will be interesting to see come spring time...

For the E30 tune you can hit up most tuners... I believe Matt answered the question on how to get the fuel.
