That’s a good question....

Unfortunately NONE of the shops within a couple hour drive have either an AWD Dynometer or their current one is broken and can’t mechanically link the rollers...

So I have no idea on numbers... I just have to infer them based on information from the tuning companies....

Hopefully I can get it on a dyno in the spring as that is when one of the shops is supposed to have their dyno fixed...

TBH I’m not THAT concerned with dyno numbers... it’s more how it performs at the track..

Last time I went to the track with the E30 GH tune I ran a 12.41 with stock exhaust and stock downpipes... basically a CAI, 3BAR, Upgraded HPFP, and Springs...

Last time at the track with LMS E30 I ran a 12.799 with the same modifications as above but with stock springs.

I have since received updated tunes from both tuners... so it will be interesting to see come spring time...

For the E30 tune you can hit up most tuners... I believe Matt answered the question on how to get the fuel.

You need the high flow fuel pump though for e30?

I would ask your tuner.. I say yes... but I want a safe stable tune that doesn’t matter what time of year in its...

I know others will run E30 on stock pumps...

Up to your tuner..

I wonder if they have ever tuned an SHO to run VP MS109E? Supposed to be able to crank more timing in with that gas vs regular MS 109.

I ordered a catch can from LMS on Dec 20, and am currently considering escalating my paypal status to a claim because LMS has not shipped or responded to my emails since taking my cash on Dec 20. I suspect some vindictiveness, and of course, need a new source for a hpfp. Now if someone would just explain what e30 is and since I know you know, how much improvement would be gained over 93 octane. I'm guessing it involves e85, which is available here.
Shoblock

That is unfortunate. I would just get the UPR CC. It is great.

E30 is taking Pump E85 and the highest octane available in your area (91 or 93) and mixing it to a E"30" ratio. The difference between a good 93 octane tune vs a E30 tune are night and day. More power and very little knock if not any.

View attachment 8073 Just for a little bit of fun... here is a datalog of my E30 Gearhead Tune with the LMS Firestorm HPFP....

In third I am holding 1.78 of load, 16-17psi of boost, 23 degrees of spark, and over 2800psi of fuel pressure.. in the winter.. with winter fuel etc etc etc...

Highly suggest getting the upgraded HPFP either way.. this car is a rocket ship with this tune.

That is great information. Looks like I will put a HPFP on the car next fall. Thank you for reporting this.

My car makes the numbers it makes because of the E30. I should have my car back up and running soon. Since it is colder, I will be heading back to the dyno and track soon.

I have the exact same issue as discussed on this thread, I have done everything Livernois told me to do including topping off trans fluid and putting new plugs in 0.28 gap I even changed the plugs to NGK 542s a colder plug what started off as the transmission slamming into neutral at WOT to sputtering at WOT in all gears.
Oh baby my SHO most of the time. The problem only got worse and started throwing po300 code
Just recently I was told it was the fuel pump and I was one of two people that have that problem.

I just finally received my revised tune and I'm uploading it now. I don't like to knock tuners because I know they work hard. Maybe a little too hard I'm tuning now going to drive it 200 miles and then test again if that fails then I don't know what to say.
FYI stock tune runs perfect.

P0300 is a misfire code that is not related to one cylinder....

That is a bit different than just a fuel pump issue.

I would check plugs, coil packs, etc...

How many miles on your SHO?

Already did and the results are earlier in this thread - but I know there's a ton of info to read to find it. So:
the GH tune made 347WHP and 398WTQ.
I see they are fairly close with GH taking the win. Do you have a graph? If you can, update the first post!

Peak for peak GH has a bit more and would be considered “close”...

However, if you look at the graph, the Gearhead curve is higher almost all the way through the power band..

I just now went back to find it and I see what you're saying (page 5, post #87). I was going off the #'s in the post I quoted. Now the only question I'd be curious to know is, what was the boost #'s between the two. Either way, GH is the winner here.

Hmm, I can get that info for you later as I have datalogs of both...

Unless Matt wants to chime in...
